Transfers

For the convenience of our guests, four options of airport transfer is provided. Seaplane, Scheduled Speedboat, Speed Boat Hire, or Public Ferry. Guests can combine their arrival and departure transfer options any way they like.

Speedboat Transfer

Airport/Male to Ukulhas

Duration: 90 minutes

Price: USD50 per Adult, USD25 per Child (2 to 11) per trip

Schedule: Malé to SeaLaVie Inn: Every day Departure 10:30am and 16:00, (Fridays 9:30am). Depart from Jetty no. 1 in Male, or from Airport Jetty.

 

Ukulhas to Malé

Every day Departure Time: 07:00am and 13:00 (Friday 14:00)

Depart from Ukulhas Ferry Terminal.

Arrive to the Airport at about 8:45am and 14:45pm. 

Guests can request for early arrival to airport for the morning schedule. Upon availability we can help to arrange. 


Note: - Pre-reservation or confirmation is required 1 day before.

 

Arrival and Departure times on rough sea days can be delay.

 

Receiving Upon Arrival to Ukulhas

Guesthouse Staff receives Guests upon arrival at Ukulhas Jetty. 

 

Reservation

We will keep seats reserved for you from the speed boat named Coral. Coral company has 4 boats (Coral Speed, Coral Express, Coral and Coral Cruiser). One of the boats will go to the airport.


Airport 

At the airport, the guest(s) can report at the Counter D11, and then ask about the Coral Speed boat. The guest(s) can also reach to the information counter and make a phone call.


Location

The speed boat will arrive at the Airport jetty, near the smoking hut, which is outside airport terminal. From the arrival gate (or from the airport information counter), it will take about 2 minutes by walk to reach to the location for speed boat.



Ticket Money

The ticket money would be collected by the speed boat manager or the captain, just before entering to the boat. The guest can tell name of the guesthouse and Ukulhas Island name. It may take a small stop at Rasdhoo before arriving to Ukulhas. Upon arrival to Ukulhas our staff will be receiving the guest(s) at Ukulhas ferry terminal.


Buying Ticket

It is not necessary to buy the ticket. Reservation only is needed. 


Q&A

Q: What can I do if I miss the boat for 10:30am?

A: The best way would be to wait at the airport for the afternoon boat. You can also deposit luggage in the airport (USD 6 per luggage) then take a tour in Male' or in Hulhumale then return to the airport. 


Q: What can I do if I miss the afternoon 16:00 boat?

A: The best way would be to spend that night in Hulhumale and then take the morning boat next day at 10:30am from the Airport. It would be more expensive to hire a speed boat to go to Ukulhas the same day evening.

Public Ferry

Male to Ukulhas

4 hours - every Monday and Thursday - Depart at 9:00 am from Hulhumale Ferry Terminal in Male'. Tickets can be purchased for 3.50 USD from Hulhumale Ferry Terminal.


Ukulhas to Male

Every Sunday and Wednesday - Depart at 9:45:00 am from Ukulhas Jetty. Tickets can be purchased inside the Ferry. No pre-reservation is required.

Note: The public ferry will first have a short stop at Rasdhoo Island and then go further to Ukulhas. Rarely the guest may need to change the ferry from Rasdhoo.

Q. Can I travel between islands by Local Ferry?

A: Yes, by looking the Local Ferry Schedule, you can go to different island.

Q: What are the days I can come to Ukulhas from Thoddoo by Local Ferry?

A: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.


Q: What are the days I can go to Thoddoo from Ukulhas by Local Ferry?

A: Mondays and Thursdays.


Q: What time the Local Ferry leaves to go to Thoddoo?

A: It leaves at 14:00 from Ukulhas, then will have a small stop at Rasdhoo, then will leave at from Rasdhoo at 15:10. It arrives at Thoddoo about 16:20.


Q: What time the Local Ferry start from Thoddoo to go to Ukulhas?

A: It starts at 06:30am. It will take a small stop at Rasdhoo then start from Rasdhoo. 

Saturdays and Tuesdays 6:30am arrives 8:10am at Rasdhoo

Sundays and Wednesdays - 6:30 arrives 08:35am at Ukulhas


Q: Can I go to Mathiveri from Ukulhas?

A: Yes, can go very easily. 

1. By the Scheduled speed boat 

2. By Local Ferry. The local ferry will start at 2pm to go Mathiveri.

Ticket price MVR 22 per person per way.

The Scheduled speed boat starts at about 12:30, the ticket Price is USD 15 per person per way. 


Q: Can I go to Gangehi Resort from Ukulhas?

A: Yes, it would be easy. The best way would be by the scheduled speed boat. It starts at about 12:30pm. The ticket price would be USD 15 per person per way.


Q: Can I go to Ukulhas from Gangehi?

A: Yes, it would be easy. The scheduled speed boat can pick you from Gnagehi to Ukulhas at about 12:40. The ticket price would be USD 15 per person per way. 


Q: Can I go to Feridhoo/Maalhos/Himandhoo from Ukulhas?

A: Yes, by the Local Ferry you can go easily. It starts at  14:00 from Ukulhas. Every day except Friday.

Hiring a Speedboat
